Alfentanil ~ Dosage
For surgical procedures lasting for about half an hour Alfentanil can be given 8-40 mcg/kg for the patient. For longer procedures/surgery up to 75 mcg/kg may be injected. Based on the patient’s response an anesthetist may give the required dosage. For that age, health may be taken as criteria before consuming the medicine. During surgeries, induction dosages of anesthetic, Alfentanil provides an intensive level of anesthesia through out the first hour of maintaining anesthesia and as well provides the attenuation of response related to hemodynamic during incision and intubation.
