Administration/Dosage of Butorphanol
Butorphanol is administered in the patient's body in two ways – as an injection or as a nasal spray.

They are meant to be sprayed into one nostril at a time, after priming the pump. Relief from pain is usually obtained after one spray in each nostril. If not, then an additional spray is done after an hour or an hour and half.
