Administration/Dosage of Lortuss HC

The Lortuss HC drug is available in the form of oral syrup. The syrup is generically available. For generic syrup, it must be taken strictly under the prescription of the physician. Otherwise, the prescription label on the bottle must be followed. The syrup must be withdrawn in a spoon specially set aside for it. You get the measured spoons at the pharmacist. The doses are to be taken at intervals described on the prescription label, or as advised by the physician.
Some people might find the Lortuss HC syrup too strong for their stomach, and may suffer from stomach upsets. If that happens, then the syrup must be taken in accompaniment with food or milk.
Dosages should not be doubled, even if a dose it missed. It might result in adverse side-effects. Children can take Lortuss HC, but the dosages are different. Adult supervision and care will be needed when children are prescribed the medicine. Doses are different for senior persons above the age of 65 years too. They may experience side-effects, and hence smaller doses are prescribed for them.
