Oxymorphone ~ Side Effects
All medicines cause side effects. The side effects of taking
Oxymorphone are dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting. Consumption of
Alcohol, hot weather, exercise, and fever should be avoided. If there is
dizziness, drowsiness one has to sit or lie down at the first sign. Using
Oxymorphone alone or with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your
ability to perform any work including driving and other critical tasks.
Avoid drinking alcohol or taking other medications that cause drowsiness
while taking Oxymorphone. This medicine is fatal and will add to the effects
of alcohol and other depressants. Children and adults who are depressed
should consume the drug carefully under the full guidance of a doctor only.
Elderly people should use Oxymorphone with caution because they may be more
sensitive to its effects.
When the medicine has to be prolonged it develops what is called as
tolerance and has no effect on illness and so the drug should be consumed
for the prescribed period only.
