Administration/Dosage of Tylenol
Tylenol is available in the form of tablets in various types. There are plain tablets of Tylenol available, as well as tablets that get released into the system over a long period of time. Chewable Tylenol tablets are also available.
Tylenol is available to be taken without prescription. In that case, the
dosage on the prescription must be followed. Overdose causes severe problems
and can be fatal. If there is a prescription for the drug, then it will
override the instructions on the prescription label.
The tablets are to ideally taken with water, though any other suitable
medium can be used. Tablets that are meant to release over time should be
ingested whole and at one go.
Tylenol preparations for adults and children are different. It will be
unsafe to give adult preparations of Tylenol to children.
