The Soft Landing Recovery Story
Soft Landing Recovery is an innovative physician-driven drug treatment facility that was opened in DuPage County in 2007. The purpose of its founding was to fill the gap that existed between the medical and behavioral communities and expand patients’ options for treatment.
We realized that the inpatient treatment relapse rate for opioid dependence was around 90%, unless followed by a well-rounded after care program which was, and continues to be, seldom the case. In response to this staggering statistic, we developed a cost effective and successful outpatient continuum that covers most stages of recovery from detoxification, medical management, continued care, and relapse prevention.
As a federally licensed Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) specializing in medication-assisted treatment of opioid use disorder, we pride ourselves on being one of only a handful of facilities in the State offering ambulatory detoxification. We are among the first to integrate the medical and behavioral aspects of patients care in a harmonious and collaborative approach. Unlike other behavioral health organizations in Illinois, patients coming into our program are met and evaluated by one of our Board Certified Addiction Specialists even before being seen by a counselor. Our physicians are available onsite daily, and are involved in all levels of patient care to ensure that every aspect of a patient’s biopsychosocial profile is addressed.
Soft Landing is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
Soft Landing Recovery has been licensed by the Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse since its inception. We achieved our CARF accreditation in 2013. Attaining and maintaining CARF-accredited status requires a significant effort, strong teamwork, and a commitment at all levels of our organization to provide quality services and enhance the lives of the people we serve. We are proud of this achievement, and CARF provides many tools to help us deliver quality treatment to those we serve.
